Bill Sharp has been in the construction and real estate industry for over thirty-five years in various capacities including: construction project manager; builder/developer; construction analyst; real estate inspector; and real estate educator. After serving in the US Army, he enhanced his formal university education with specialized training from: Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. (SBCCI); Built Up Roofing Systems Institute; Roofing Industry Educational Institute; Dale Carnegie; and Georgia Pest Control Assoc.
He is the co-founder of the Georgia Association of Home Inspectors and has served numerous terms as president of that association. He holds three Building Code Certifications. He is a registered Rehabilitation Housing Inspector and Building Inspector with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs; a recognized member of International Assoc. of Electrical Inspectors and a registered Combination Family Dwelling Inspector for the SBCCI; and a Pest Management Specialist.
Bill has brought his in-depth knowledge of construction to the classroom in six states having previously built in excess of 3,200 residences. He has developed and delivered various educational programs to appraiser, real estate firms financial institutions and professional organizations on subjects which have included: CODE; inspection methods; and problem evaluation and standards of practice for the inspection profession.
Mr. Sharp is affiliated with SBCCI (recently merged into ICC), National Fire Protection Assoc., and the Georgia Associations of Home Inspectors, Inc. (Past President).
