Details:

Introduction to Home Inspection & Residential Construcion - Overview of the home inspection process, business formation and operation, tools needed, and a review of residential construction from footers to roof rafters covering the residential construction process.

Home Inspection Methods - In-depth course covers details of making the inspection - what, how to, and reporting - including lot; foundation; walls, windows; attics, basements; garages and swimming pools; pest infestation; electrical, plumbing, cooling, and heating systems; and energy and environmental concerns.

Field Inspection - Field trips to existing residential properties located within the metro Atlanta area. Registration limited to ensure low student/teacher ratios. Subject property shall be inspected to allow home inspectors, appraisers, real estate agents and/or interested homeowners to become familiar with a variety of home construction and ownership issues. Focus shall be on construction related issues.

AREA class times are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm for day classes, and 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm for evening classes. Course schedules, classroom directions and school policies are posted on the website. Please contact school office for assistance, education@area-ga.com.
