Introduction to Home Inspection & Residential Construction - Overview of the home inspection process, business formation and operation, tools needed, and a review of residential construction from footers to roof rafters covering the residential construction process.
Home Inspection Methods - In-depth course covers details of making the inspection - what, how to, and reporting - including lot; foundation; walls, windows; attics, basements; garages and swimming pools; pest infestation; electrical, plumbing, cooling, and heating systems; and energy and environmental concerns.
Building Code Overview - course will highlight important international residential code requirements and review common code and safety violations that should be discovered by home inspectors and real estate professionals. Material is presented in an understandable format and students will receive a Code Check book for their future use. The course will touch on all four of the code compliance topics including building, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing.
Certification Program can provide 30-hrs of appraisal classification credit for license advancement (CR/CG), exam required
